Kick-off meeting within the framework of the European Union ERASMUS+ project “Ways to motivate active mobility and healthy lifestyles for sustainable urban development” (NUDGING2MOVE) (15.01.2025, Thessaloniki, Greece)
On January 15, 2025, a kick-off meeting was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, within the framework of the European Union project ERASMUS-SPORT-2024-SCP “Promoting active mobility and living for healthier and sustainable cities through nudging” (NUDGING2MOVE), implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
The meeting began with a welcoming speech by TERO MONOPROSOPI IKE coordinator Jason Tamiyakis, who emphasized the peculiarities of the project and congratulated all partners.
The project partner is the public organization “YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE”. Yaroslav Galan, the head of the organization, spoke in detail about the organization’s activities, which are aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, developing sports among young people, supporting scientific initiatives and introducing innovations in the field of physical education.
Partners from Greece, Italy, Portugal and Turkey joined the discussion of the project’s future steps. The meeting was held in a warm, constructive atmosphere that emphasized the importance of cooperation between the partners.
Olga Beshlei, the organization’s manager, joined the event to discuss the further work plan for the next six months and to distribute responsibilities between the partners in detail for the effective implementation of the project.
Nudging4Move meets the ERASMUS+ sport objective “Promoting participation in sport and physical activity” by developing a range of tools based on the concept of “motivation” to encourage active mobility and active living in cities.
Work on the project has already begun, and an intensive program is ahead that will contribute to the development of young people and raise professional standards of work with the public.
